Jorge’s first secondment took place at Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili a research hospital in Barcelona. During 2 months he joined RE-FiT Bcn (Aging, Frailty and Transitions Research group) in the prototyping and evaluation planning of the MoviMENT project. The aim of this project is to develop a therapeutic circuit to improve movement and cognitive behavior of hospitalized patients. Jorge conducted participatory sessions with 2 group of patients to define the graphic components of the prototype, distribution of proposed stations and refine the end-user experience. The process included consultation to the hospital staff such as nurses, physicians and physical therapists. The findings of the participatory process not only helped to refine the prototype but to plan the evaluation according to the crucial factors identified by the patients and staff such as usability, clarity of the instructions, position of the items and ensuring the legibility of the graphic elements of the stations.
