Universitat Ramon Llull is one of the most innovative and modern universities in Spain, and Catalonia’s first private university. Fundació Blanquerna is well-known for its experience in top quality-ranked higher education, research, and an standing out individualized teaching methodology. The Physical Activity and Health Research Group has researchers from several disciplines with an excellent, national and international track record in high-quality research on movement behavior and health, functional performance, design and evaluation of health-related interventions for different age groups, including co-creation and participatory research.

Maria Giné-Garriga

Associate Professor

Associate Professor and head of the Physical Activity and Health Research Group. Her main research topic is the (co)design of health-related interventions to change lifestyle behaviours in older adults with a strong focus on sustainability and adherence.

Carme Martin-Borràs

Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor at the Departments of Sport Sciences and Physiotherapy. Her main research topic is health promotion in older adults and adults with chronic conditions.

Azahara Fort Vanmeerhaeghe

Associate Professor

Associate professor at the Departments of Sport Sciences and Physiotherapy. Strength and conditioning coach of Segle XXI female basketball team. Her main research topic is neuromuscular training and assessment to both injury prevention and performance in team-sport.

Sacra Morejón

Architect and PhD in Sport Sciences

Currently the Academic Vice Dean of Postgraduate and Research. Associate architect and specialist in sport facilities at the Ros-Sutrias & Associats SL studio; she has participated in various research studies from an architectural perspective (design of sport facilites) and from an urban perspective (physical activity in urban public spaces).
