We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that our Health CASCADE research fellow, Dr. Giuliana R. Longworth, successfully defended her PhD thesis at Fundació Blanquerna on Wednesday, 20th November 2024.
Her thesis, titled “Advancing the Science Behind Co-Creation for Public Health: A Focus on Implementation and Evaluation Needs, Guidance, and Recommendations,” provides valuable insights and contributions to the field. Giuliana’s work was expertly guided by her supervisors, Dr. Maria Giné-Garriga and Dr. Greet Cardon.
Notably, Giuliana is the first of our fifteen Health CASCADE fellows to defend her thesis—an outstanding achievement that sets a great precedent for her peers. She has also published findings from her research in academic journals, which can be accessed here.
Giuliana has already embarked on an exciting new chapter, joining the Instituto de Investigación Sant Joan de Déu (IRSJD) as a postdoctoral researcher. We wish her every success in this new role and are confident she will continue to make impactful contributions to public health research.
